ABOUT MEArtist, explorer, mother.
My name is Rhea and I was born and raised in the woods of the northwest. I married my best friend 18 years ago and we have two beautiful crazy kiddos. I love to spend time outdoors exploring and have come to love being creative with the natural elements that surround this beautiful place I call home. I have been doing flowers for weddings for the past 10 years and while I can create arrangements for just about any style or taste, I especially like combining fresh herbs, succulents and wildflowers with traditional floral designs.
For thousands of years cultures have used flowers and nature to provide deeper meaning and beauty with ceremonies. The uniting of diverse plants and flowers to make a beautiful arrangement can be a representation of marriage itself, and can provoke emotions and draw back memories. The smell of stargazer lilies can still take me right back to my wedding day each time I smell them. Creating beauty with nature on a day that will be captured in people’s hearts and memories for a lifetime is a great pleasure and privilege! |

My Journey
I was 20 years old and a day away from marring my high school sweet heart that I had known since I was 14. In his grandmothers kitchen we sat; mothers, grandmothers, aunts, great aunts, sisters and cousins. All wrapping different sized stems with wire and floral tape, making bows, drying out moss, and trimming up salal and sword ferns we had gathered from the woods surrounding her home.
